Our Annual Parish Meeting and Luncheon is Sunday, January 27, following the 9am Mass – please note there will be only one Mass at 9am. This is an important future-planning meeting for all parishioners to attend. Child-care is provided and it is a covered dish luncheon, so please bring something to share.

Please save the date of Friday, April 11 for our fundraiser Night at the Oasis Dinner & Auction in Royal Hall.

40 Days of Prayer for Paramour

Notice that there will be a VICTORY celebration of the community Paramour 40 days of prayer to reduce crime
this Sunday at 4:00PM at Paramour Park.....just a short way from the Cathedral...we will send directions this week. We will be the fourth VICTORY prayer sometime after 4:30pm. All are invited to show our support to the police and our neighbors just next door to our community. The mayor and dignitaries will begin the ceremony at approximately 4:00pm. The entire event should last approximately one hour to one hour and fifteen minutes. Fr. David will see you there!

Welcome House of Bishops!

All of the Bishops have arrived safely, attended Mass this morning and were treated to a wonderful breakfast. Now they are off to the hotel to start the meetings. The Bishops wil be attending meeting through Wednesday. The DEUS Synod starts Thursday.

Special thanks to all who helped with set up, cooking, serving and clean-up (especially, Jeanie W., Phylls Hart, Debbie Conroy, Jack Naglee, Trishia Campbell, Eudora, Ernie, John and Jane).

The first production of a Florida Theatre Group series opens next Friday night at the Cathedral of the Incarnation's Royal Fellowship Hall. Performances are on Friday, Saturday, August 17 & 18 at 8pm and Sunday at 2pm. Come one, come all! and help make this premier event a success!

Bishop Lou visited Harriet on Monday, May 7 in the hospital and she was not doing so well & having trouble breathing.

Eudora and Jane visited Harriet on Friday and she was doing just OK and is moving to an assisted living situation. She will be added to the
Cathedral schedule for home communions on a regular basis.

The Church office will let you know what Assist living she will be moved to if you would like to visit and/or send cards.

CATHEDRAL ARTS SERIES BEGINS THIS SPRING

The Cathedral of the Incarnation, located in College Park, will initiate The Cathedral Arts Series and Artist in Residence Program this spring. The program will promote worthy artists from throughout Central Florida in a seasonal series for the entire Orlando community. The series will begin with at least four varied events such as Jazz, Classical Music, Mixed Media Art Exhibits, and Dance Events.

Dr. Terry Yount, the Cathedral’s Artist in Residence and Director will oversee the Arts Series. Having successfully directed art programs at colleges and two major churches over the years, Dr. Yount now brings his expertise and passion ...

Remember when you are Spring Cleaning that St Monica's Spring Rummage sale is Saturday, March 31st. Items and helpers are needed for this major fund raiser. Check for sign up sheets on the parish hall bulletin board. Drop off of items begins on Sunday, March 25 and runs thru the week.

Also please note: any personal items left in the kitchen that are not picked up by March 25th will be placed in the rummage sale.

Several dates for serving “Daily Bread” at the Christian Service Center have been set up for 2007, the first volunteer day is today, February 25. Please see or call Susan Keller at 407-578-4956 if you would like to sign up to help. If you cannot accompany us, but would still like to help, the CSC asks us to bring a donation of $75.00 when we volunteer, if you feel so inclined you could make a donation towards that amount.

Dad and Sons Glee Club Weekend!

Terry our Choir Director has scheduled a one-of-a-kind weekend for the men (and sons ages 10 and up) of the Cathedral. The weekend is Saturday, February 3 at 2pm in the Choir Loft, and on Sunday February 4 at 9am to prepare for the Offertory Anthem and our first ever "Glee Club" event at Coffee Hour.

Navy Capt. Alfred Koster enjoyed travel, camaraderie and his family

Retired Navy Capt. Alfred Maria Koster IV was a military man through and through.

He was deployed on submarines around the world, worked in intelligence and special operations, commanded the ROTC unit at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and led the Recruit Training Command at the Orlando Naval Training Center.

"He just fought for his country," said Koster's daughter Susan Barnes of London, England. "He believed in what was right and what was moral and just."
